Tourism Financial Group and the Malaysian Minister of Trade and Industry Discuss Economic Cooperation

Tourism Financial Group met with the Malaysian Minister of Trade and Industry to discuss the future of economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Tourism Financial Group of Iran, one of Iran's biggest and top private financial and economic groups, met with the Malaysian Minister of Trade and Industry to discuss the future of economic cooperation between the two countries.


In the meeting, Tourism Group of Iran Chairman Mehdi Jahangiri, referring to the firm and lasting relations between Iran and Malaysia, said: "The Tourism Group of Iran has always been committed to developing economic relations with other countries, including Malaysia."


He added: "This group, with its extensive capabilities in banking, tourism, construction, oil and gas, and industry and mining, is ready to cooperate with Malaysian companies in these areas."


Jahangiri, referring to Iran's capacity for exporting agricultural, industrial, and mineral products, said: "The Tourism Group of Iran can play an important role in facilitating the export of Iranian products to Malaysia and other countries in the region."


He also announced the Tourism Group of Iran's readiness to attract Malaysian investment in Iran: "This group has suitable capabilities for investment in various fields, including tourism, oil and gas, and industry and mining."


Malaysian Minister of Trade and Industry Mustafa Mohamed, also expressing his pleasure at meeting with the Tourism Group of Iran's executives, said: "Malaysia has always attached great importance to developing economic relations with Iran."


He added: "This country is well aware of Iran's economic potential, and we are ready to elevate our trade and economic relations with Iran to a higher level."


The Malaysian Minister of Trade and Industry, referring to the areas of cooperation between the two countries, said: "Malaysia has suitable capabilities for cooperation with Iran in various fields, including information technology, medical equipment, and food."


He also invited the Tourism Group of Iran's executives to visit Malaysia's industrial and economic projects, saying: "We are ready to provide the necessary conditions for cooperation between the two sides."


At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to establish a joint working group to explore areas of economic cooperation between the two countries.
