Mehdi Jahangiri head of Tourism Financial Group, visited the Jiroft Rehabilitation Center on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities and called for equipping the center's orthopedic workshop and support for its beneficiaries.

According to the Tourism Financial Group's Public Relations Department, Jahangiri took a close look at the situation of the beneficiaries and the orthopedic workshop during the visit.

He stressed the importance of equipping the center's orthopedic workshop and said: "This workshop is responsible for the orthosis and prosthesis of the disabled of 8 cities in the southern province of Kerman and must be launched in honor of the people of this region."

Jahangiri also called for urgent measures to complete the fledgling or independent home of the center.

During the visit, Jahangiri and his entourage also visited the center's beneficiary accommodation and looked closely at the status of nutrition, hygiene, rehabilitation, and all the needs that effectively improve the beneficiaries' health.

Currently, 90 beneficiaries are being cared for in this center, one of Iran's best centers for caring for beneficiaries.

Equipping the orthopedic workshop is an important demand of beneficiaries

Beneficiaries of the Jiroft Rehabilitation Center referred to equipping the center's orthopedic workshop as an important demand. They said that this workshop plays an important role in meeting their needs for orthosis and prosthesis and equipping it can significantly improve their quality of life.

One of the beneficiaries of this center, who needs to use a knee brace due to a foot disability in the ankle, said: "I have been using this orthopedic workshop for years, and I am very satisfied with its services. However, some of the devices in this workshop are old and worn out and need to be repaired or replaced."

Another beneficiary of this center, who needs to use a prosthetic glove due to a hand disability in the ankle, said: "Thanks to the services of this workshop, I have been able to have a more normal life. However, if this workshop is fully equipped, it can provide better services to beneficiaries."

Jahangiri: Supporting beneficiaries is the duty of all of us

Mehdi Jahangiri said at the end of the visit: "Supporting beneficiaries is our duty. We must do our utmost to improve their living conditions."

He added: "I would like to thank the officials of the Yas Charity Foundation in Jiroft for their efforts in supporting beneficiaries."
